On March 16, 2024, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) hosted its first Alumni Day, providing an opportunity for former students and their families to reconnect with the campus and explore the latest research and developments. This year, the Department held a special session on remote sensing, showcasing our innovative research and engaging attendees with an interactive pop-up quiz.
In addition to the remote sensing showcase, Professor Ben Gerlofs of the Department was featured as one of the star professors at the Faculty of Social Science's Fireside Chat with the Dean and Star Professors. This engaging event provided an opportunity for attendees to engage in meaningful discussions and gain insights into the latest research and trends within the social sciences.
The HKU Alumni Day 2024 was a resounding success, fostering connections between alumni and the university, and highlighting the exceptional work being done by the Department.
