Lecture Summary:
The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provides directions for countries to achieve sustainable development. However, challenges such as data gaps, uneven development hinder the implementation of the SDGs. Earth big data provides an important means for evaluating SDG indicators and achieving goals. Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, "Earth Big Data Science Engineering" has made a series of progress in this field. This report will introduce the program's research achievements in SDG data platform construction, SDG scientific satellite development and SDG indicator monitoring and evaluation.

Prof. Guo, the Director of the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS), is an Academician of CAS, a Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a Foreign Member of the Finnish Society of Sciences and Letters, and a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). He has published more than 600 papers and 24 books, and is the awardee of 18 international and domestic prizes
