Support the Mervyn Peart Memorial Prize in Fieldwork Studies - Public Donation Campaign
We are honored to announce the establishment of the Mervyn Peart Memorial Prize in Fieldwork Studies in memory of Dr. Mervyn Peart, former Associate Professor of the Department of Geography at The University of Hong Kong. Dr. Peart was deeply passionate about fieldwork and its significance in the geographical curriculum. To continue his legacy, this annual prize, with a value of HK$5,000, aims to recognize and reward a final year Geography major undergraduate student who has demonstrated academic excellence and commitment in fieldwork across various geographical courses, encompassing both local and overseas field trip components. To establish the prize, we are seeking to raise a minimum of HK$50,000 in donations and kindly ask for your support in helping us reach this target.
We have initiated a public donation campaign to support the prize. Your generous contributions will significantly impact the future of geographers, inspiring them to excel in fieldwork studies and carrying on Dr. Peart's commitment to geographical education. To make a donation, please [click here] to access the University's online donation platform.
As a tribute to Dr. Peart, we have also created a memorial book to celebrate his life and accomplishments. We cordially invite you to [click here] to view the memorial book and share your cherished memories, stories, and tributes to Dr. Peart.
Your support is invaluable in bringing the Mervyn Peart Memorial Prize in Fieldwork Studies to fruition and keeping Dr. Peart's legacy alive.
Thank you.
